Behavioral health care for Cincinnati youth ages 8–21.
Trauma-informed residential and outpatient services delivered with consistency, shaped around each young person, and rooted in the city we call home.

Therapy for the moments that matter most.
Behavioral health is the work of helping a young person understand what they're feeling, why they're feeling it, and how to move forward. At We Care Youth Services, that work is trauma-informed, individualized, and grounded in evidence-informed clinical practices. We use approaches rooted in research, not trends.
Every plan of care is shaped around the young person in front of us, whether in our 24/7 residential program or through outpatient services. Consistent structure, trusted relationships, and interdisciplinary collaboration are how real progress happens.
We serve youth ages 8–21 experiencing mental health and behavioral challenges, trauma-related conditions, emotional and social instability, and family or environmental disruptions.
Built for youth, and the people in their corner.

From referral to first session, here's how it works.
- 01
Referral Submission
Submit a referral or call. Whether you're a parent, caseworker, court, school, or agency, we'll listen first. Referral decisions are typically made within one business day.
- 02
Clinical Screening & Assessment
We conduct a clinical screening and risk and needs assessment, meeting the young person and the people around them to determine the right level of care.
- 03
Admission & Intake
Admission determination is followed by a full intake and orientation. Every care plan is shaped around who they are and what they need, not a clinical template.
- 04
Ongoing Care & Coordination
Consistent structure, real progress, and coordinated communication with families, agencies, and providers throughout the young person's time with us.
What parents and youth often ask.
What is behavioral health, exactly?
It's the umbrella term for therapy and counseling that helps a young person manage emotions, relationships, and behaviors. It's not just for crisis, it's for building skills and resilience over time.
What ages do you serve?
We serve youth ages 8 to 21.
Who can refer a young person?
Parents, caregivers, schools, courts, child welfare agencies, behavioral health providers, and other community partners can all start a referral. Youth themselves are welcome to reach out too.
How long does therapy usually last?
It depends on the young person. Some work through a focused goal in a few months. Others build a longer relationship with their clinician over a year or more. We never push past what's helpful.
Do you accept insurance?
We provide Medicaid-funded services, ODJFS-funded placements, and accept managed care plans and other approved funding sources. Scholarships are also available for families who need them.
Is what we share kept confidential?
Yes. We follow HIPAA. There are narrow legal exceptions when a young person is in danger, but otherwise what's said in the room stays in the room.
How do we get started?
Submit a referral on this site or call (513) 306-0751. A member of our care team will follow up personally to walk you through next steps.
Every young person deserves access.
